Solid Wall Insulation

Date: 26 November 2013 : 09:30 - 16:30

Rockwool is the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of mineral wool insulation products. This event, held at the Rockwool factory in Bridgend, will provide an excellent opportunity to hear first-hand about the market developments from one of the UK's leading manufacturers and suppliers of solid wall insulation products. It will also offer a chance to get an insight into the sophisticated manufacturing processes associated with the production of the different products and to get a practical hands-on presentation of the application of this technology. The day will also include a visit to a nearby project site which will offer an opportunity to see the product being applied in practice.

The solid wall insulation industry is predicted to grow exponentially over the coming years on the back of specific government policies (Green Deal and Energy Companies Obligation) targeted at promoting the uptake of this retrofit measure. As a result the industry will have to ramp up production and associated intake of qualified engineers to keep up with demand and develop new products and application methods through R&D. At the same time training providers need to keep up with the increasing demand for training courses on the application of solid wall insulation.

This Masterclass will provide an excellent opportunity to hear first hand about the market developments from one of the UK's leading manufacturers and suppliers of solid wall insulation products. It will also offer a chance to get an insight into the sophisticated manufacturing processes associated with the production of the different products and to get a practical hands-on presentation of the application of this technology. The day will also include a visit to a nearby project site which will offer an opportunity to see the product being applied in practice
